Schools Fitness

PB Personal Training is proud to present the Olympic Legacy celebrating the amazing festival of sport, culture, friendship and much, much more.

Our programmes help teach your children about the Olympic and Paralympic Games and help encourage a healthy long lasting culture within the class by teaching children what makes a great sporting hero, discovering the importance of teamwork and friendship as well as educating them along the way with fun facts on the Games and sport in general.

Children will be educated on the importance of a thorough warm up and down, the dedication required to reach the top and also nutrition tips with fun lunchbox suggestions and the significance of eating healthy.

We have various packages available to ensure your children get the best out of their sessions. From healthy eating weeks to weekly cross-country sessions we provide a high quality service designed to improve their all round general fitness and help inspire their future involvement in fitness and all aspects of physical education.

Sessions are delivered by top local runner Sophie Whiteside and Olympic hopeful Jonny Mellor.

Sophie is a fully qualified Personal Trainer and is a competitive runner with PBs of 17:20 for 5,000m and 29:27 for 5miles. Sophie competes regularly for Liverpool Harriers in local and National competitions and has a passion for physical fitness and leading group fitness sessions and Bootcamps.

Jonny is the current National 3,000m Champion and with PBs of 13:36 for 5,000m and 62:59 for Half Marathon, Great Britain International Jonny is in a strong position to offer advice and coach future Olympians. Jonny works with many local schools and his local swimming club delivering some of the best physical endurance sessions.

New legislation allows teachers to spend 10% of their teaching time, away from the class, for planning, preparation and assessment (PPA time). As a result schools have begun using sport as a way of covering PPA time.

We have designed a well-structured, professional and flexible solution to PPA cover, helping to enrich and extend the school's curriculum in physical education.

Our bespoke sports programmes are developed through consultations, with the Head Teacher or PE Co-ordinator. The programme will meet the individual needs of the population group and have clear outcomes.

We help key stage 1 and 2 children develop key fundamental skills, such as improved motor skills, agility, coordination and communication skills in accordance with National Curriculum. We develop fun and novelty sessions, designed to challenge and engage children, maintaining high levels of motivation and enthusiasm, to ensure children create a positive impression of physical education.

We specialise in but are not exclusively limited to the following sessions:

We have feeder links to various local clubs including Liverpool Harriers, Hoylake Swimming Club and Knowsley Harriers to help encourage children to follow in their Olympic hero’s footsteps.
